Most drivers and automobile owners now are all in favor of simplification. Ever since my mother taught me to buy the washing machine with the least gadgets or the VR with the least features then the principle and theory is the least the mechanical parts and components then the less that can possibly go wrong or awry.

What are the advantages of fuel injection and fuel injector systems over older style carburetion? First of all how did the earlier gas carburetor fuel line systems work? Regardless that they were low tech , in the vast amount of cases and driving situations carburetor and carburetor fuel systems could be counted on , and a low building and installation costs to reliably power vehicles down the road and in varied driving and motoring conditions. Still you can find older venturi carburetor type fuel systems in most gas lawn mowers and gas garden tractors. When you step on the gas pedal to accelerate, there is a rod that connects the pedal to a little lever located on the outside of the carburetor which is sitting on the top of your engine. This little lever pushes on a piston inside the carburetor which squirts a little extra fuel into the venturi. That extra fuel creates a richer fuel/air mixture, which explodes with a big bang in your cylinders, and your vehicle gets an extra push we call "acceleration". Its sure low tech , but it packs a wallop which has won tons of auto races both on the race track and by young men cruising the roads and highways with their muscle cars and hot rods. Most of the time a carburetor fuel system works well and reliably. Yet there are many times, engine and driving conditions where a carburetor gas fuel delivery system just cannot adapt rapidly to changing or varying vehicle auto power plant changing driving and motoring conditions.

However the beauty of fuel injection and especially the more technologically advanced and sophisticated computerized electronic systems employed onboard in current modern vehicle motors of 2010 can administer and deliver to your engine and gasoline power plant a much more closely controlled and exact gas fuel to air mixture or mixtures. The longer the valve is open in a fuel injected system as a result of data from sensor modules , the more fuel it delivers to the combustion chamber and chambers. The richer the resulting fuel air mixture the more power the engine delivers and performance and acceleration speed ahead. This is light of vehicle driving efficiency, better miles per gallon fuel economy values, engine exhaust emission standards and emergency motor power response and reactivity and emergency driving situations and conditions.

Throttle body fuel injection is another type of carburetor-less system that mixes the fuel and air together right in the throttle of the car instead of using individual injectors to pump the fuel into each cylinder. These systems are overall less complex and complicated than individual fuel injection systems and are generally cheaper. Some of these systems use solenoids to spay the fuel into the airstream of the throttle through a fuel injector nozzle.
